Some 7 years after erecting one of their biggest structures ever, McDonald Marine are “stealthily” tearing it down. The catenary lighting system in Federation Square has been fulfilling it’s function admirably since it was installed by McDonald Marine in 2003 but it has been necessary to temporarily remove a large section of the catenary system to allow for the installation this winter of a large scale artistic project. Unfortunately for the boys at McDonald Marine, the only access available to carry out this task is when the public are generally home in bed, thus the sleepless nights! |
